1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Passtime ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.
2. License
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the App for your personal, non-commercial purposes on any Apple-branded device that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service.
3. Account Registration
To use certain features of the App, you must create an account using a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate.
4. Description of Service
Passtime allows users to scan event tickets (movies, concerts, sports, and more) and generate social media content using publicly available event data and images. The App is provided "as is" for personal, non-commercial use.
5. User Content
By uploading ticket images or other content to the App, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, process, and display that content solely for the purpose of providing the App's services to you. You retain ownership of your content and may delete it at any time through the App.
6. User Responsibilities
You must be at least 13 years old to use this App
You are responsible for any content you create and share using the App
You agree not to upload content that infringes on others' rights or violates any laws
You agree not to use the App for any unlawful purpose
You will not attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or exploit the App
7. Intellectual Property
Movie posters, artist images, team logos, and venue graphics accessed through the App are property of their respective owners. The App provides access to publicly available data for personal use only. You may not use generated content for commercial purposes without appropriate licenses.
8. Third-Party Services
The App uses third-party APIs to provide event data. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content provided by these services.
9. Account Termination
You may delete your account at any time through the App settings. Upon deletion, your personal information and uploaded content will be permanently removed from our systems within 30 days. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE APP WILL BE ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR CONTINUOUSLY AVAILABLE.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Connecticut, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Connecticut.
13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify users of material changes through the App or via email.
14. Apple Terms
These Terms are between you and Passtime only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance and support services with respect to the App.
In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the App. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App.
Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the App or your possession and/or use of the App, including but not limited to: (i) product liability claims; (ii) any claim that the App fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (iii) claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation.
Apple is not responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, or discharge of any third-party claim that the App or your possession and use of the App infringes that third party's intellectual property rights.
You agree to comply with any applicable third-party terms when using the App.
Apple, and Apple's subsidiaries, are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms of Service. Upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary thereof.

Ticket Images: When you scan or upload tickets, these images are stored on our servers to provide the App's core functionality, including your event timeline and history.
Event Data: We store information about events you add, including event names, dates, venues, and your personal notes or captions.
Usage Data: We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage statistics to improve the App, including feature usage patterns, app performance metrics, and crash reports.
3. How We Use Your Information
Email: To authenticate your account, send password resets, and communicate important service updates
Ticket Images: To display your event history and generate shareable content
Event Data: To provide your personal timeline and enable social features
Usage Data: To improve app performance and user experience
4. Information We Don't Do
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes
We do not use your email for marketing without your consent
We do not use advertising tracking or participate in ad networks
We do not share your ticket images with other users unless you explicitly choose to post them publicly
5. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database and storage platform. Supabase provides encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, and is hosted on secure infrastructure. Your email is stored in our Supabase database, and your ticket images are stored in Supabase Storage buckets. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention
We retain your account information (including email) and uploaded content for as long as your account is active. You may delete individual tickets or your entire account at any time. Upon account deletion, your personal information and uploaded content will be permanently removed from our servers within 30 days. Anonymous, aggregated analytics data may be retained for up to 24 months.
7. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services:
Supabase: For authentication, database storage, and image storage (Privacy Policy)
Event data APIs: To retrieve movie, sports, and venue information based on your search queries
These services receive only the data necessary to provide their functionality.
8. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately and we will delete such information.
9. Your Rights and Choices
Access: You can view all your stored data within the App at any time.
Correction: You can edit your event information and captions within the App.
Deletion: You can delete individual events or your entire account through the App settings. Account deletion removes all your personal data from our servers, including your email and all uploaded images.
Data Export: You may request a copy of your data by contacting us at the email below.
10. California Residents (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to: know what personal data we collect; request deletion of your data; and not be discriminated against for exercising your rights. We do not sell personal information. To exercise these rights, use the in-app deletion feature or contact us.
11. European Residents (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area, you have rights including: access, rectification, erasure, data portability, and the right to restrict or object to processing. Our legal basis for processing is your consent (for account creation) and contract performance (to provide the service). To exercise these rights, use the in-app features or contact us.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the App, updating the "Last updated" date, and/or sending you an email notification. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
